Literature Text

It probably means nothing
And I have nothing to gain
But understanding is not enough
Am I going insane?

Taste my pain and you will become me
Stare into the darkness of my dream
There is no hope
This is my mind; I reign supreme

No matter what you do
It just gets harder for me to leave
Abandon all hope
Reality is only what you perceive

It's better to expect nothing
With nothing to live for
We pretend we're the real winners
But in the end no one is superior

You're running hard going nowhere
Took you long enough to realize
This is the final harbor
Death is the final surprise

Look into my face and tell me the time.
Do it while the world is still young…
THE FIRST RULE OF BELIEF SYSTEMS</I>
Because you believe that your beliefs are based on an objective appraisal of facts, you are unwilling to change your belief system
In your mind, it doesn't need changing becasue to you it isn't even a belief system. You are quite convinced you are merely perceiving things the way they are, the way everyone sees them. So what is there to change?
Your preconceptions often limit or shape the your sense perceptions.
You probably thought it was the other way around didn't you - and that's a big part of the problem. You don't appreciate the power of your assumptions to shape your experiences.
Reality is only what you percieve...
